This swage stud terminal features a smooth hollow cylindrical barrel for permanent crimping onto wire rope, with a metric right-hand threaded stud on the opposite end for secure termination and tensioning. It is commonly used in cable railing, outdoor balustrades, and marine assemblies.
Engineered from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, it offers excellent resistance to rust and corrosion in both indoor and outdoor environments. Accommodates 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm diameter ropes.
Installation requires a hydraulic swaging machine to compress the barrel firmly onto the rope. When properly swaged, the termination achieves at least 90% of the rope’s minimum breaking strength.
IMPORTANT: For coated wire cables, the outer jacket must be cleanly stripped before swaging. The terminal must be swaged directly onto the bare steel wire rope, never over the coating.
