Zinc-plated mild steel swage terminal for cold-forming attachment to wire rope in commercial and home fitness systems. Available to accommodate cable diameters of 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm. Ideal for gym pulley machines, weight-stack cables, safety lanyards, suspension anchoring, and wire rope rigging.
Installation requires a hydraulic press or heavy-duty manual swager to cold-form the terminal onto the bare cable. When properly swaged, the termination delivers a holding efficiency that consistently exceeds 90% of the wire rope's minimum breaking strength.
IMPORTANT: For coated gym cables, the outer jacket must be cleanly stripped before swaging. The terminal must be swaged directly onto the bare steel wire rope, never over the coating.
