Engineered from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, this swage-on hook terminal features a spring-loaded safety hook for tool-free attachment to permanent anchors, and releases just as smoothly when disassembly is required.
The hollow cylindrical barrel accepts 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm diameter wire rope, and is formed using a hydraulic swaging machine. When properly swaged, the termination archives at least 90% of the rope’s minimum breaking strength, ensuring a secure mechanical bond suitable for overhead suspension.
Typical uses include hanging LED lighting, display banners, signs, mirrors, gallery artwork, and custom wire rope rigging. With good corrosion resistance and easy handling, it works well for most indoor and sheltered outdoor hanging applications.
IMPORTANT: For coated wire cables, the outer jacket must be cleanly stripped before swaging. The terminal must be swaged directly onto the bare steel wire rope, never over the coating.
