Stainless Steel Wire Rope Tube Thimble

Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel with a polished finish, this tube thimble provides reliable corrosion resistance and is available in sizes 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm to match bare wire diameters.

It protects the wire rope eye loop from direct friction against hooks or shackles, reducing wear and extending service life. After threading the rope through the thimble, the loop is secured by swaging an aluminum or copper ferrule directly against the thimble base, creating a stable termination that will not slip or shift under load.

Choose the Right Size for Coated Cable

• If the coating is stripped at the loop, choose a thimble that matches the bare wire diameter (e.g., 6 mm bare wire = 6 mm thimble).
• If the coating remains, size to the overall finished diameter (e.g., 6 mm wire with 8 mm coating = 8 mm thimble).

Always swage the ferrule onto the bare wire, never over the coating, to ensure full holding strength.

With a thicker wall for added durability, this thimble is suited for high-load and safety-critical applications, including overhead lifting, marine rigging, fall protection, gym cable systems, and architectural railings.
