Seamless Aluminum Oval Ferrule, EN13411-3

Manufactured from high-grade, seamless 5051A aluminum alloy (welded 6063 also available), extruded over a mandrel to ensure uniform wall thickness and grain structure. Designed for permanent turnback loop terminations on galvanized or carbon steel wire ropes with tensile grades from 1570 MPa to 1960 MPa.

Available in sizes from 1 mm to 30 mm rope diameter. For sizes between 3 mm and 60 mm, we offer customized solutions tailored to your specific requirements. Manufactured in strict accordance with EN 13411-3, and standard designs are certified for use with round-strand steel wire ropes conforming to EN 12385‑4 and 5.

Typical applications include general lifting and rigging, static securing, fencing, architectural cable railings, clotheslines, and suspended signage or lighting applications.

To achieve the certified minimum termination efficiency of 90% of the rope’s breaking strength, the ferrule must be swaged to a precise final dimension using a dedicated hydraulic swaging machine and the appropriate die set, as required by industry standards.

For micro-rigging applications such as fishing lines or thin suspension wires under 2 mm, a manual hand swager is sufficient.

Avoid with Stainless Steel Cables: aluminum ferrules must not be used with stainless steel wire ropes in wet or high-salt environments, as galvanic corrosion will degrade the aluminum and cause joint failure. (Use copper or stainless steel ferrules instead).
