316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Oval Ferrule

Manufactured from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, this oval ferrule is designed for turnback loop termination on stainless steel wire rope, offering high strength and corrosion resistance. Available in standard diameters from 1 mm to 20 mm, with custom sizes available on request.

When paired with a stainless steel wire rope, this ferrule eliminates any risk of galvanic corrosion. The stainless steel is non-reactive, making it ideally suited for food processing and pharmaceutical applications.

The stainless steel is high resistance to crushing, so manual hand-crimpers cannot exert enough force to crimp these safely. A heavy-duty hydraulic swaging press with matched dies is required to ensure the metal flows seamlessly into the wire rope gaps. When properly swaged, the termination will consistently achieve at least 90% of the wire rope's minimum breaking load.
